Senator Rosen Recently Announced She Will Introduce An Amendment To The Health & Human Services Funding Bill To Make RFK Jr.’s Salary $1 And Block Implementation Of CDC Childhood Vaccine Change Until It’s Reversed

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen joined MS NOW’s “Morning Joe” to discuss the amendment she will introduce to reverse Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s childhood vaccine changes. Last week, HHS announced changes to the list of vaccines recommended for children, eliminating from the list vaccines to protect against meningitis, hepatitis, RSV, and other deadly diseases. Senator Rosen’s amendment would stop this change by halting funding to implement it and reducing Secretary Kennedy’s salary to $1 until he reverses this dangerous and reckless action.
Senator Rosen excerpt from the interview (at around minute 4:55):
“What we’re trying to do is restrict the funding that will allow him to implement this misguided policy that will hurt our parents and children.
“And I want to add this for people who don’t understand: if it’s not recommended, then perhaps your insurance company doesn’t pay, so you go to the pediatrician and you say ‘but I want my child to have vaccination X,’ whatever that is. They’ll say well, you can pay out of pocket. Maybe you can afford it, maybe you can’t. You’ve set up a two-tier system.
“Now, if it’s not recommended ,maybe the drug companies make less, so you create an artificial shortage, again raising the price. So you really create a ‘have’ and ‘have not’ for our children. Which makes us less safe, and will cost children’s lives and their health… Shame on the secretary, and we’re going to try and do everything we can to restrict his access to hurt children.”
