Anchor: Senator Jacky Rosen is addressing the ripple effects of tariffs and SNAP funding cuts on Nevadans. In a press conference the senator claims that tariffs are raising food prices, making groceries unaffordable for families, and adding pressure on food banks and community resources. Rosen says two weeks ago her proposed “No Tariffs on Groceries Act,” which would exempt food and agriculture from tariffs, was blocked in the senate. The Trump Administration believes there is fraud linked to some snap funding but the Senator says congress is working to bring costs back down.

Senator Rosen: “We are going to continue to try and restore that $100 billion, the cuts to Medicaid, Medicare and SNAP programs that have come down in the one Big Beautiful Bill, but was only one big beautiful pain for most people who receive these benefits. We are going to try and restore that funding while we work on appropriation bills.”
