This Bipartisan Government Funding Package Includes A Nearly Four Percent Pay Raise For Servicemembers And More Than $84 Million for Rosen-Requested Community Projects In Nevada
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) helped pass the latest bipartisan government funding package for Fiscal Year 2026, which includes wins for Nevada and critical funding for health care, housing, transportation, and servicemembers. This bipartisan package includes over $84 million in community project funding she secured with Senator Cortez Masto for 50 key projects supporting Nevada’s transportation infrastructure, tourism economy, and affordable housing programs.
“From securing federal investment in more than 50 Nevada projects to securing funding for key programs that help Nevadans, I’m proud to have helped pass this bipartisan package that will help improve lives for hardworking families across our state,” said Senator Rosen. “This bipartisan government funding legislation will help boost our tourism industry and infrastructure, bring down housing costs, and provide more assistance to health care centers. As long as I’m in the U.S. Senate, I’ll keep working across party lines to deliver federal funding for Nevada.”
Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto requested and secured over $84 million in Community Project Funding as part of this bill. Among these investments are 50 projects that are critical priorities for Nevada, including:
- $7.8 million to construct a much-needed community center in West Wendover.
- $4 million for the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Health Clinic Expansion.
- $3 million for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine Cancer Research Center.
- $2.5 million to renovate and modernize a library in North Las Vegas.
- $2.4 million for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ Nursing Education Innovation project to train more nurses in Nevada.
- $2 million for the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority for terminal improvements.
- $1.1 million for the Clark County Department of Aviation to reconstruct the Airfield Rescue and Fire Fighting Station at Harry Reid International Airport.
- $1 million for the Northern Nevada Development Authority Small Business Incubator.
- Millions of dollars to upgrade roadways in Red Rock National Conservation Area and across six counties.

In addition to Community Project Funding, Senator Rosen secured wins for Nevada in this bipartisan funding package, including:
- 3.8 percent pay raise for U.S. servicemembers.
- $976 million increase for the U.S. Air National Guard to procure six C-130Js, and increase likelihood of the Nevada Air National Guard getting one.
- $1.76 billion for the Job Corps program, in addition to language blocking the elimination of Job Corps Centers unless closures meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
- $15 million for the HUD-VASH Program that provides housing assistance to veterans.
- $214 million for the National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program, which Senator Rosen champions every year.
- $342 million for Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program.
- $342 million for Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant Program.
- $24.334 million for the Emergency Medical Services for Children Program and $13 million for the Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Program.
- $417.9 million to support rural health, and $4.6 billion in additional funding for community health centers throughout the United States.
- $158 million for NeighborWorks America to help address the housing crisis.
- $2.6 million for the Office of the Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism, an increase over the prior fiscal year.
- $37.5 million for the Nita M. Lowey Partnership for Peace Act (MEPPA).
- $1.5 million for the National Women’s Business Council.
