Senator Rosen Recently Helped Pass the Bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act into Law
LAS VEGAS, NV – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen visited Golden Rule Apartments, a new local apartment complex for seniors, with housing leaders from Southern Nevada to celebrate the bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act that she helped pass into law. This law is the biggest housing package passed in decades, containing over 40 provisions to increase housing supply and lower costs for hardworking families. The act also includes provisions that limit the corporate buy-up of single-family units.
“The lack of available housing Nevadans can afford, along with the rising costs of homeownership and rent, is squeezing hardworking Nevada families. Addressing this crisis and lowering costs is a top priority for me, which is why I worked with Democrats and Republicans to pass the largest housing package in decades into law,” said Senator Rosen. “Today’s visit to Golden Rule Apartments and discussion with Southern Nevada housing leaders highlighted just how important this bipartisan law is, and the fact that it cannot be the end of our work to lower housing costs. I’ll keep fighting to address the housing crisis from all angles so Nevadans can afford a place to call home.”

Senator Rosen has been fighting to make housing more affordable in Nevada. She introduced legislation to exclude homebuilding materials from Trump’s tariffs and called on the administration to crack down on corporate price gouging in the housing market. Senator Rosen has also introduced a bipartisan bill to support small businesses in the housing industry and bipartisan legislation to help grow the construction workforce, making it easier to build more houses and bring down costs. Senator Rosen has helped secure millions in federal funding for housing projects all across Nevada. In August, she successfully pushed the Trump Administration to release more than $3.3 million in federal funding it was withholding for affordable housing across Nevada.
