Veterans and caregivers currently participating in the program have reported frustration with the lack of medical assessment of veterans\u2019 needs as well as improper notices of decisions from the VA that impact care. Additionally, due to the complicated application and appeals process, many veterans and caregivers need advocates to guide their way through it. The Rosen-backed <em>CARE Act<\/em> would require that medical specialists evaluate veterans\u2019 applications, mandate that detailed reasoning be laid out in the event of a denial, and require that the VA deliver an annual report to Congress on the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe brave veterans who risked their lives and were injured while serving our nation deserve to have the best care we can provide\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cI was proud to help introduce this bipartisan bill to improve the support available for caregivers who look after these heroes. Our nation made a sacred promise to take care of our veterans, and I\u2019ll always fight to make sure we live up to this commitment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been a leader in supporting our nation\u2019s servicemembers and veterans. She secured a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/03\/14\/as-a-result-of-rosen-led-push-new-reno-veterans-hospital-included-in-presidents-budget\/\">new VA hospital<\/a> in Reno and Nevada\u2019s first-ever <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/04\/21\/rosen-secures-first-ever-veteran-business-outreach-center-in-nevada\/\">Veteran Business Outreach Center<\/a>. Senator Rosen has also co-sponsored the bipartisan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/06\/22\/rosen-joins-bipartisan-legislation-to-protect-veterans-from-predatory-practices-safeguard-benefit-claims\/\"><em>GUARD VA Benefits Act<\/em><\/a> to protect veterans from predatory practices.
