Susie Lee (D-NV) and Pete Stauber (R-MN) on their introduction of H.R. 5789, companion legislation to Senator Rosen\u2019s bipartisan Small Business Child Care Investment Act (S.2549). This bill would make non-profit child care providers eligible to participate in all loan programs available through the Small Business Administration (SBA). Currently, these non-profits are only eligible to access SBA microloans. By increasing access to additional resources through the SBA, this bipartisan legislation will support these providers in expanding the availability of high-quality child care for working families.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n\u201cA lack of access to affordable, quality child care creates additional financial burdens for far too many of Nevada\u2019s hardworking families,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019m glad to see the House introduce companion legislation to my bipartisan Small Business Child Care Investment Act. This bill would bring Nevada\u2019s hard-working parents relief by increasing the availability of high-quality child care for their families. I will continue working on forward-thinking legislation that improves the lives of Nevada families.\u201d<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<u><strong>BACKGROUND:<\/strong><\/u> Under the bill, covered non-profit child care providers would be eligible for the same SBA loan programs as for-profit small businesses. The bipartisan Small Business Child Care Act would allow these providers to expand and update their facilities and services.&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/rosen-ernst-introduce-bipartisan-legislation-invest-small-businesses-make-child-care-more\/\">Last September<\/a>, Senator Rosen and Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) introduced the bipartisan Small Business Child Care Investment Act (S.2549) in the Senate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-center\">###<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WASHINGTON, D.C. \u2013 Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) released the following statement applauding Reps.
