It\u2019s serving to raise the public\u2019s awareness and promote the availability and benefits of palliative care, and trying to find bipartisan solutions to expand access to palliative care services, improve coordinated care, and address issues impacting caregivers,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen. <\/strong>\u201cI\u2019m also proud to have introduced the Provider Training in Palliative Care Act, with my colleague Senator Murkowski, which is going to have the &nbsp;National Health Service Corps focus on these areas [palliative care].\u201d<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n\u201cWe know the important work that hospice providers do in the home, so how can we take these palliative care and hospice care models and expand them across the home health spectrum?\u201d<strong> asked Senator Rosen.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<u>BACKGROUND:<\/u> <\/strong>Last July, Senator Rosen launched the bipartisan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/node\/357\/\">Comprehensive Care Caucus<\/a>, with co-chairs Senators John Barrasso (R-WY), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), and Deb Fischer (R-NE).<\/p>\n<p>Last June, Senator Rosen introduced the bipartisan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/rosen-murkowski-introduce-bipartisan-legislation-provide-palliative-care-training-medical-providers\/\">Provider Training in Palliative Care Act (S.1921)<\/a> with Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK). This legislation would update the National Health Service Corps program to allow providers to train in palliative care as an eligible primary care service.
