Therefore, we write to urge you to bring a resolution to the UN Security Council recognizing and imposing sanctions on Hamas as a terrorist organization,\u201d <strong>wrote the senators<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere are multiple consequences of the UN not recognizing Hamas as a terrorist organization,\u201d <strong>the senators continued.<\/strong> \u201cFirst, the lack of a unified voice among the international community risks eroding the UN\u2019s credibility in response to one of the worst terrorist attacks in history. Additionally, as the largest financial contributor to the UN, the US must take urgent action to prevent the flow of funds into the hands of Hamas. The absence of UN sanctions on Hamas is a glaring loophole, circumventing US financial controls, such as the rigorous standards set by the US Department of Treasury, potentially allowing Hamas to evade US sanctions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>View the full letter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Lankford-Rosen-Letter-to-UN.pdf\">aqu\u00ed<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following Hamas\u2019s terror attack on Israel, Senator Rosen has called for immediate action to support Israel. She recently co-sponsored a bipartisan resolution standing with Israel against Hamas terrorism &#8212; which passed the Senate unanimously &#8212; demonstrating ironclad support for Israel\u2019s security. Rosen also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/10\/18\/rosen-introduces-bipartisan-senate-resolution-demanding-safe-release-of-hostages-from-hamas\/\">introduced a resolution condemning Hamas<\/a> for its terror attack and demanding the immediate release of the hostages Hamas is holding &#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/11\/09\/rosen-young-resolution-demanding-immediate-release-of-hostages-held-by-hamas-passes-senate\/\">which also passed<\/a>.
