This bill would reauthorize the program through 2030, as it is currently set to expire in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFailing to educate students about the gravity and scope of the Holocaust is a disservice to the memory of its victims and to our duty to prevent such atrocities in the future,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cAt a time of rising antisemitism, reauthorizing the bipartisan Never Again Education Act will help ensure that educators have the resources needed to teach students about the Holocaust and help counter antisemitic bigotry and hate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe alarming rise of antisemitism across our country is a stark reminder we need to do more than just simply say \u2018never again,\u2019 and educate our young people,\u201d <strong>said Senator Cramer.<\/strong> \u201cIn the wake of the horrific attacks in Israel just a few months ago, educating Americans and the world about the horrors of the Holocaust is more important now than ever before.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we face an avalanche of antisemitism, teaching about the Holocaust is more critical than ever,\u201d<strong> said Senator Blumenthal.<\/strong> \u201cReauthorizing the Never Again Education Act ensures that teachers have access to the resources they need to thoughtfully educate their students about one of the darkest chapters in human history. Ensuring that the past horrors of the Holocaust aren\u2019t forgotten will help combat antisemitism and hate in our present and future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn the wake of the October 7th attack by Hamas, echoes of Holocaust denial are a stark reminder of the persistence of antisemitism,\u201d <strong>said Senator Rubio.<\/strong> \u201cNow more than ever, it is important to develop resources to fight against antisemitism. This bill would not only ensure continued education initiatives, but also furthers our commitment to honoring and protecting our Jewish friends.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOver the past decade, Holocaust distortion and antisemitism has grown in intensity worldwide. We must do all we can to ensure that history isn\u2019t forgotten or misrepresented,\u201d <strong>said Senator Cardin.<\/strong> \u201cThe Never Again Education Act supports the work necessary to reinforce a complete and accurate representation of history in our education system while combating antisemitism through education.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been a leader in the bipartisan fight to combat antisemitism and expand Holocaust education nationwide. In 2019, Senator Rosen introduced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/rosen-cramer-rubio-blumenthal-introduce-bipartisan-bill-fund-holocaust-education-schools\/\"><em>Never Again Education Act<\/em><\/a> alongside Senators Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT). This bipartisan legislation was signed into law in 2020. Rosen helped launch the first-ever Senate Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/05\/25\/following-their-push-rosen-lankford-manning-smith-applaud-release-of-first-ever-national-strategy-to-counter-antisemitism\/\">led the push<\/a> to create the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/U.S.-National-Strategy-to-Counter-Antisemitism.pdf\">first-ever national strategy to counter antisemitism<\/a> released earlier this year. Senator Rosen also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/10\/25\/rosen-helps-introduce-bipartisan-resolution-condemning-antisemitism-on-college-campuses\/\">helped introduce a bipartisan resolution<\/a> denouncing antisemitism at institutions of higher education, which passed the Senate unanimously.
