{"id":11384,"date":"2024-01-08T16:24:12","date_gmt":"2024-01-08T16:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rosen-testing.senate.gov\/?p=11384"},"modified":"2024-01-08T16:24:13","modified_gmt":"2024-01-08T16:24:13","slug":"rosen-cortez-masto-announce-nearly-8-million-for-clean-school-buses-in-nevada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/01\/08\/rosen-cortez-masto-announce-nearly-8-million-for-clean-school-buses-in-nevada\/","title":{"rendered":"Rosen, Cortez Masto Announce Nearly $8 Million For Clean School Buses in Nevada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Washington, DC \u2013<\/strong> Today, U.S. Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) announced that the Nevada Clean Energy Fund will receive $7.7 million through the Environmental Protection Agency\u2019s (EPA) Clean School Bus Program to help our school districts purchase and install 25 electric school buses across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThrough the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which I helped write and pass,\u00a0 Nevada\u2019s schools will receive nearly $8 million for electric school buses that will benefit students across our state,\u201d <strong>said Senator Rosen<\/strong>. \u201cThis critical funding will help modernize our schools\u2019 transportation system, leading to lower energy costs and cleaner air for our students and their families.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m thrilled to see these federal dollars I secured for clean buses coming to Nevada to help our schools lower their energy costs and keep kids safe and healthy,\u201d <strong>said Senator Cortez Masto. <\/strong>\u201cNevada\u2019s clean energy boom is creating jobs and helping students and families across the state, and I\u2019ll always fight to\u00a0provide Nevadans with the resources they need to succeed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Created in 2017, the Nevada Clean Energy Fund (NCEF) is a nonprofit organization that provides financial and technical resources to help create clean energy jobs in Nevada, reduce energy costs, and accelerate our clean energy transition.
