Each year, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services releases payment and policy updates to the Medicare Advantage program. The Senators\u2019 letter urges the Administration to ensure stability for Medicare Advantage, move forward with ongoing reforms to address predatory marketing practices, and encourage plan performance transparency to help consumers better assess value in the Medicare Advantage program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe write to express our bipartisan support for the Medicare Advantage program and the health care coverage it provides to over 32 million seniors and individuals with disabilities,\u201d <strong>the senators wrote<\/strong>. \u201cWe appreciate your ongoing commitment to ensuring that the Medicare Advantage program meets the health care needs of all beneficiaries while improving the quality and long-term stability of the Medicare program\u2026As the Administration considers updates for plan year 2025, we request that you ensure payment and policy stability for the Medicare Advantage program, to protect and strengthen this critical choice for current and future Medicare beneficiaries.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLooking to the future, we believe that every American eligible for Medicare should receive clear, accurate, and timely information about the cost and quality of their coverage options,\u201d <strong>they continued.<\/strong> \u201cWe look forward to working with you to combat predatory and deceptive marketing practices, improve the accuracy of provider directories, and increase transparency of plan performance to help consumers and taxpayers better assess value.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The full text of the letter can be found <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Senate-Medicare-Advantage-Call-Letter-CY25_Final.pdf\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been a strong supporter of Medicare and ensuring seniors have access to quality, affordable health care. She helped pass the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/09\/20\/rosen-joins-brief-urging-federal-court-to-uphold-medicares-ability-to-negotiate-lower-prescription-drug-costs\/\"><em>Inflation Reduction Act<\/em><\/a> to help lower health care premiums and lower prescription drug costs for seniors. Last year, Senator Rosen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/09\/20\/rosen-joins-brief-urging-federal-court-to-uphold-medicares-ability-to-negotiate-lower-prescription-drug-costs\/\">joined Senate colleagues<\/a> in filing an amicus brief urging a federal court to uphold the constitutionality of Congress allowing Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices for consumers.
