In December, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/12\/20\/rosen-urges-ftc-to-consider-blocking-kroger-albertsons-merger-citing-concerns-deal-would-raise-grocery-prices\/\">sent a letter<\/a> calling on FTC Chair Lina Khan to review and consider blocking this mega merger over concerns that it would increase food prices. This is the largest proposed supermarket merger in U.S. history, and the FTC charges that this deal will eliminate competition, likely leading to higher prices at the grocery store and lowering the quality of products and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLowering costs for hardworking Nevada families is a top priority, and I\u2019ve been pushing back against big corporations that want to reduce competition and further increase grocery prices,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen. <\/strong>\u201cI\u2019m glad to see the FTC take steps at my urging to block this mega merger and protect families from even higher prices.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been a leader in fighting to lower costs for hardworking Nevadans. She <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/12\/11\/following-rosen-push-to-prevent-price-gouging-at-gas-pump-federal-trade-commission-opens-investigation-into-big-oil-merger\/\">successfully pushed<\/a> the FTC to open an investigation of Exxon Mobil\u2019s proposed acquisition of Pioneer Natural Resources that could greatly reduce competition and drive up gas prices at the pump for Nevadans. Senator Rosen also introduced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/01\/09\/rosen-introduces-legislation-to-crack-down-on-corporate-price-gouging-in-the-housing-market\/\"><em>Housing Oversight and Mitigating Exploitation <\/em>(HOME) <em>Act<\/em><\/a> to crack down on housing price gouging by corporate investors who are buying up housing stock.
