Last month, Senator Rosen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/02\/12\/rosen-pushes-to-make-major-investment-in-affordable-housing-for-tribal-communities\/\">called on Senate Appropriations Committee leaders<\/a> to provide robust funding for Tribal housing programs as part of the government funding legislation, highlighting that Congress has consistently underfunded critical programs that support affordable housing development, operation, and maintenance for Tribal communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we confront a housing shortage and affordability crisis, Tribal communities in Nevada are being hit particularly hard,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cThat\u2019s why I pushed for increasing funding for housing in Tribal communities in the bipartisan government funding package I helped pass. I\u2019ll continue fighting to lower housing prices for hardworking families across our state.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThanks to the strong leadership of Senator Rosen, together we\u2019re delivering record funding for Native communities in Nevada and across the country. This funding will help support unique and urgent Native housing needs, including building more affordable housing, providing rental assistance, and getting electricity and plumbing into homes,\u201d <strong>said U.S. Senator Brian Schatz, Chair of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been fighting to lower housing costs for all Nevadans. She recently introduced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/01\/09\/rosen-introduces-legislation-to-crack-down-on-corporate-price-gouging-in-the-housing-market\/\"><em>Housing Oversight and Mitigating Exploitation<\/em> (HOME) <em>Act<\/em><\/a> to crack down on housing price gouging by corporate investors who are driving up home prices by buying up housing stock. Last year, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/05\/12\/rosen-leads-colleagues-in-requesting-full-funding-for-key-housing-programs-to-address-affordable-housing-crisis%EF%BF%BC\/#:~:text=Senator%20Rosen%20has%20been%20working,affordable%20housing%20in%20the%20state.\">led her colleagues in a letter<\/a> to Senate appropriators requesting that they fund the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development\u2019s Veterans Affairs and Supportive Housing program.
