The <em>Fred Hamilton Veterans\u2019 Lost Records Act <\/em>would allow the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to grant disability compensation claims to veterans using other documentation instead of military treatment records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur nation\u2019s veterans sacrificed so much for us, and it\u2019s unacceptable that red tape would keep them from receiving the benefits and care they deserve,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019ve joined this commonsense legislation to allow veterans whose records were lost by the government to still access their hard-earned benefits. I\u2019ll always stand up for veterans and the benefits they\u2019ve earned.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The Nevada VFW fully supports the Fred Hamilton Veterans&#8217; Lost Records Act, and applauds Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto for their bill co-sponsorship,\u201d <strong>said Daniel Sanders, Veterans of Foreign Wars\u2019 Department of Nevada Legislative Representative.<\/strong> \u201cEnabling the Department of Veterans Affairs to utilize all available resources to verify benefit eligibility ensures that veterans are able to receive the benefits and support that they earned, and need, after proudly serving our nation.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been leading bipartisan efforts to support Nevada\u2019s veterans. Last month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/03\/27\/rosen-fischer-introduce-bipartisan-bill-to-permanently-protect-va-helpline-for-veterans\/\">she introduced bipartisan legislation<\/a> to permanently maintain a helpline for veterans to obtain information and assistance with all services from the VA. In the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/03\/09\/rosen-secures-nevada-priorities-in-first-bipartisan-government-funding-package-for-fy2024\/\">bipartisan government funding package<\/a>, Senator Rosen secured funding to increase access to affordable housing for veterans, continue building Nevada\u2019s first national veterans cemetery in Elko, and increase funding for veteran\u2019s access to telehealth.
