This funding is made possible through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2021\/08\/10\/rosen-votes-to-pass-infrastructure-investment-and-jobs-act-secures-wins-for-nevada\/\"><em>Bipartisan Infrastructure Law<\/em><\/a>, and has been&nbsp; awarded to the state of Nevada to provide grants to local governments for clean energy projects that reduce carbon emissions and increase energy efficiency. The funds will also be used to help finance projects that reduce energy costs and pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs Nevada continues to experience the effects of the climate crisis, it\u2019s critical that we invest in clean energy projects that reduce our emissions and lower energy costs for Nevadans,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cI was proud to secure this funding to increase energy efficiency in our state and create clean energy jobs thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law I helped write and pass. I\u2019ll always fight to deliver federal investments for our state\u2019s booming clean energy economy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNevada is paving the path to our country\u2019s clean energy future, and this grant will help us grow our clean energy economy,\u201d <strong>said Senator Cortez Masto.<\/strong> \u201cI will continue working to support energy efficiency, bring down costs for Nevada families, and combat climate change.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto have been strong supporters of Nevada\u2019s clean energy economy. They both helped pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2022\/08\/07\/rosen-votes-to-pass-inflation-reduction-act\/\"><em>Inflation Reduction Act<\/em><\/a> (IRA), which are making significant investments in Nevada\u2019s clean energy economy and the jobs it supports. Senator Rosen has also been a strong supporter of Nevada\u2019s solar industry, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/response-rosen-efforts-president-biden-stops-threat-solar-tariffs-providing-support-solar-industry\/\">successfully<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2022\/03\/09\/rosen-heinrich-lead-bipartisan-letter-urging-commerce-secretary-to-stop-threat-of-additional-tariffs-on-solar-imports\/\">leading<\/a> the charge, joined by Senator Cortez Masto, against solar tariffs that would have decimated the industry. Both Senators also helped <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cortezmasto.senate.gov\/news\/press-releases\/cortez-masto-omnibus-funding-bill-delivers-for-nevada-\">secure<\/a> vital extensions of the renewable energy investment tax credit and the residential renewable energy tax credit to boost solar energy and helped expand these tax credits in the IRA.
