The bipartisan <em>Molly R. Loomis Research for Descendants of Toxic Exposed Veterans Act<\/em> would establish a multi-agency task force to conduct research on the diagnosis and treatment of health conditions experienced by descendants of veterans who were exposed to toxic substances during their military service. This research would be authorized through the Toxic Exposure Research Working Group, which was established under the bipartisan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2022\/08\/10\/rosen-supported-legislation-to-provide-health-care-benefits-to-toxic-exposed-veterans-signed-into-law\/\"><em>PACT Act<\/em><\/a> that Senator Rosen helped pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we deliver historic health care coverage for veterans who were exposed to toxic chemicals during their service to our nation, we must also look into the effects these exposures had on their children,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019ve joined bipartisan legislation to conduct first-of-its-kind research into the diagnosis and treatment of the health conditions for toxic-exposed veterans\u2019\u00a0descendants. I\u2019ll continue working across the aisle to make sure we take care of our veterans and their loved ones.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been leading efforts to support our nation\u2019s veterans. Last month, she helped introduce <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/04\/30\/rosen-helps-introduce-bipartisan-bill-to-officially-authorize-construction-of-new-va-hospital-in-reno\/\">bipartisan legislation<\/a> to officially authorize the construction of a new veterans hospital in Reno, which she also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/03\/02\/rosen-cortez-masto-request-new-reno-veterans-hospital-in-presidents-upcoming-budget\/\">successfully pushed<\/a> the president to include in his 2024 budget request. Earlier this year, Senator Rosen introduced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/03\/27\/rosen-fischer-introduce-bipartisan-bill-to-permanently-protect-va-helpline-for-veterans\/\">bipartisan legislation<\/a> to permanently maintain a helpline for veterans to obtain information and assistance with all services from the VA.
