Earlier this month, the senators led a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/05\/10\/rosen-rubio-lead-bipartisan-letter-urging-president-to-strongly-oppose-international-criminal-court-efforts-targeting-israel\/\">bipartisan letter<\/a> urging President Biden to strongly oppose the ICC\u2019s efforts to politically target Israel and respond swiftly and strongly should the ICC move forward with arrest warrants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are outraged by this shameful political move by the ICC, which seeks to undermine Israel as it defends itself after Hamas\u2019s brutal October 7th terrorist attack,\u201d <strong>said the senators. <\/strong>\u201cWe\u2019re deeply concerned about the impacts this decision will have on current hostage negotiations and the dangerous precedent this sets given that the ICC has no jurisdiction over Israel. As we emphasized in our letter to President Biden, \u2018the President is granted broad authorities to respond to these types of actions by the ICC.\u2019 We now join together to call on him to take swift and forceful action in response to this attack on our democratic ally.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been a strong leader in the push to support Israel and in efforts to seek the release of hostages held by Hamas. Following the October 7th terrorist attack on Israel, Senator Rosen has been taking action to ensure Israel is receiving the support necessary to defend itself and defeat Hamas.
