CETAP is an existing initiative that provides cybersecurity career awareness, curricular resources, and professional development to elementary and secondary schools across the U.S., including direct, no-cost support to students and educators.<\/span><u1_p><\/u1_p><o_p><\/o_p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\">\u201cThe current cybersecurity workforce shortage poses a threat to our national security. To meet this challenge and prepare our nation for the economy of the future, we must invest in a robust cybersecurity workforce,\u201d<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><b>said Senator<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>Rosen.<\/b><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>\u201cThis bipartisan legislation would codify and strengthen the CETAP program, providing education and career opportunities in cyber and helping to bolster the number of applicants in this critical field.
