In Nevada, over 525,000 jobs have been retained as a result of PPP.<\/span><u1_p><\/u1_p><o_p><\/o_p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\">\u201cI\u2019m working to ensure that Nevada\u2019s small businesses are not left behind in the federal government\u2019s response to COVID,\u201d<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><b>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/b><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span>\u201cAddressing issues affecting Nevada small businesses like lending to minority-owned businesses, language access for SBA application materials, ensuring that the U.S. Small Business Administration follows congressional intent in the CARES Act regarding EIDL loans, and most recently \u2013 extending the Paycheck Protection Program &#8211; are among my top priorities. I will continue to stand up for Nevada and make sure that our small businesses get equal access to all the resources they need.\u201d<\/span><u1_p><\/u1_p><o_p><\/o_p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><b><u><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\">BACKGROUND:<\/span><\/u><\/b><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\">&nbsp;In<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/senate-passes-rosen-backed-legislation-extend-small-business-relief-program\/\"><span style=\"color:purple\">&nbsp;June<\/span><\/a>, Rosen helped introduce and pass in the U.S. Senate bipartisan legislation to extend the U.S. Small Business Administration\u2019s authority to approve Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans to small businesses through August 8, 2020. That legislation was signed into law by the President.
