Nevadaworks was established by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act to support the workforce development system and provide workforce training to job seekers in northern Nevada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA good-paying job in our state shouldn\u2019t require a college degree, which is why I\u2019m doing everything I can to bring more Registered Apprenticeships and expand workforce development opportunities in Nevada,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019m pleased to announce that Nevadaworks has been awarded more than $4 million to help workers in northern Nevada get the training and skills they need to fill high-demand jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been working to support Nevada\u2019s workforce in the midst of economic growth. Earlier this year, she announced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/03\/14\/rosen-cortez-masto-announce-delivery-of-federal-funding-they-secured-for-workforce-development-in-southern-nevada\/\">delivery of federal funding<\/a> she secured as part of the FY23 Bipartisan Appropriations Package for workforce development in southern Nevada. Last year, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/11\/22\/rosen-lummis-urge-national-science-foundation-to-implement-bipartisan-provision-to-bolster-hardrock-mining-workforce-and-critical-mineral-supply-chain\/\">sent a bipartisan letter<\/a> to the U.S. National Science Foundation Director requesting an update on the implementation of the provision she secured in the bipartisan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2022\/08\/09\/rosen-backed-chips-and-science-act-signed-into-law\/\"><em>CHIPS and Science Act<\/em><\/a> to support the critical mineral mining industry and bolster the mining workforce.
