The bipartisan <em>Veterans Jobs Opportunity Act<\/em> would create a new startup tax credit to provide veterans who are starting a small business with a 15 percent tax credit on the first $50,000 of the startup costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur nation\u2019s servicemembers deserve all of our support as they transition to civilian life,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019m proud to introduce this bipartisan bill to provide Nevada veterans with a tax credit on start-up costs as they start small businesses in underserved communities and create jobs. I\u2019ll always work to ensure our veterans have the federal resources they need.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBy offering enhanced support to veteran entrepreneurs starting small businesses, we can bolster local economies and channel their work-ethic into their communities,\u201d <strong>said Senator Moran. <\/strong>\u201cVeteran-owned small businesses play an important role in rural communities, underserved areas and society, and this legislation will allow our nation\u2019s heroes to encourage those around them and uplift communities across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been leading bipartisan efforts to support Nevada\u2019s veterans. Earlier this month, she announced that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/07\/17\/rosen-backed-bipartisan-bill-to-increase-awareness-of-veteran-home-loan-program-passes-senate\/\">bipartisan legislation<\/a> she helped introduce passed the Senate to increase veterans\u2019 awareness of the VA Home Loan Program. Earlier this year, Senator Rosen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/05\/22\/rosen-leads-colleagues-in-push-for-funding-to-address-housing-crisis-help-homeless-veterans\/\">sent a letter<\/a> to Senate Appropriators requesting funding to help homeless veterans find housing through rental assistance. In the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/03\/09\/rosen-secures-nevada-priorities-in-first-bipartisan-government-funding-package-for-fy2024\/\">bipartisan government funding package<\/a>, Senator Rosen secured funding to increase access to affordable housing for veterans, continue building Nevada\u2019s first national veterans cemetery in Elko, and increase funding for veteran\u2019s access to telehealth.
