I will always stand up to Washington on behalf of Nevada and make sure our voices are heard.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a member of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee that has jurisdiction over the USPS, Senator Rosen has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/02\/29\/rosen-leads-bipartisan-opposition-to-relocation-of-reno-postal-processing-and-distribution-center-to-california\/\">leading<\/a> the effort to protect local postal operations in Nevada and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/04\/16\/video-during-senate-hearing-rosen-blasts-postmaster-general-on-proposed-downsizing-of-reno-mail-processing-facility\/\">pushing back<\/a> against the Postal Service\u2019s misguided plan. Last month, she introduced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/06\/21\/rosen-amodei-introduce-bipartisan-legislation-in-both-chambers-of-congress-to-stop-usps-plan-to-relocate-mail-processing-to-sacramento-increase-oversight\/\">bipartisan legislation<\/a> with Congressman Mark Amodei (R-NV-02) to stop USPS from implementing its plan to relocate outgoing mail processing from Reno to Sacramento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen held a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/05\/28\/in-reno-senator-rosen-governor-lombardo-express-strong-opposition-to-usps-plan-to-move-mail-processing-to-sacramento\/\">press conference<\/a> with Governor Joe Lombardo in May to reaffirm their strong, bipartisan opposition to the proposed downsizing and relocation of outgoing mail processing by the United States Postal Service.
