The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/03\/01\/rosen-helps-introduce-bipartisan-bicameral-bill-to-reauthorize-lake-tahoe-restoration-act\/\">legislation<\/a> is led by Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and also cosponsored by Senators Laphonza Butler (D-CA) and Alex Padilla (D-CA) in the Senate. The Senate passed this bill in July, and it now goes to the President\u2019s desk to be signed into law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor the last two decades, lawmakers from both parties have come together and worked in a bipartisan way to protect Lake Tahoe and the surrounding communities,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019m proud to continue this legacy by working with Republicans and Democrats in Congress to pass the Lake Tahoe Restoration Reauthorization Act and reauthorize this much-needed funding to help preserve one of Nevada\u2019s most unique natural wonders for generations to come.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI was thrilled to pass the reauthorization of the Lake Tahoe Restoration Act through the Senate this summer, and today\u2019s vote means this critical legislation is officially on its way to becoming law,\u201d <strong>said Senator Cortez Masto<\/strong>. \u201cI\u2019m proud of our bipartisan work to deliver funding for vital programs that keep the lake clean, support local jobs, and support our tourism economy. It will allow critical funding to support environmental protection and habitat restoration programs across the basin for the next ten years. This law has delivered millions in federal dollars to Lake Tahoe since the original law passed in 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has consistently worked across the aisle to protect Lake Tahoe and ensure it has the federal resources it needs to thrive.
