The bipartisan resolution recognizes the service and sacrifice of law enforcement and underscores the importance of community policing. Additionally, the resolution encourages collaboration between civilians, law enforcement agencies, and public servants to find solutions to improve public safety, strengthen community relationships, and build trust.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNevada\u2019s law enforcement officers work tirelessly to keep families across our state safe, including by strengthening the bonds between them and local communities,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cLast year, I had the honor of being accompanied to the State of the Union by a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer who has been using innovative outreach strategies to reach the Latino community in Las Vegas. She announced that a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/09\/04\/rosen-backed-bipartisan-bill-to-fund-family-support-mental-health-services-for-law-enforcement-officers-passed-senate\/\">bipartisan bill<\/a> she backed to fund family support and mental health services for law enforcement officers passed the Senate earlier this month. Senator Rosen also held a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/08\/30\/rosen-cortez-masto-highlight-funding-they-secured-to-support-southern-nevadas-first-responders-mental-health\/\">press conference<\/a> to highlight nearly $1 million in federal funding she helped secure to provide mental health training to law enforcement officers and first responders.
