Her <em>Strengthening VA Cybersecurity Act<\/em>, signed into law in 2022, directed the Secretary to obtain an independent cybersecurity assessment of VA information systems, and submit to Congress the findings and a remediation plan to address the cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Following the recent completion of that assessment, the VA has submitted a detailed plan to Congress on how it will address vulnerabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur veterans rely on the VA to access medical care, benefits, and other critical services, and we must ensure their most personal information is protected from bad actors,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cI worked across party lines to pass bipartisan legislation to protect Nevada veterans\u2019 information, and I\u2019m glad to see that the VA is implementing it by submitting a report to Congress outlining cybersecurity vulnerabilities and their plan to address them. I\u2019ll continue working with the VA to make sure they address these vulnerabilities identified.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been leading bipartisan efforts to deliver for Nevada\u2019s veterans. Last month, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/09\/20\/rosen-senate-colleagues-pass-bipartisan-legislation-to-allocate-billions-of-dollars-for-veterans-pact-act-benefits-heads-to-presidents-desk\/\">helped pass<\/a> bipartisan legislation to allocate billions of dollars for PACT Act benefits. Earlier this year, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/04\/30\/rosen-helps-introduce-bipartisan-bill-to-officially-authorize-construction-of-new-va-hospital-in-reno\/\">helped introduce<\/a> bipartisan legislation to officially authorize the construction of a new VA hospital in Reno, which followed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/03\/02\/rosen-cortez-masto-request-new-reno-veterans-hospital-in-presidents-upcoming-budget\/\">Senator Rosen\u2019s successful push<\/a> with Senator Cortez Masto to include the hospital in the President\u2019s 2024 Budget Request. She also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/03\/27\/rosen-fischer-introduce-bipartisan-bill-to-permanently-protect-va-helpline-for-veterans\/\">introduced<\/a> bipartisan legislation to permanently maintain a helpline for veterans to obtain information and assistance with VA services, which is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/10\/02\/rosen-secures-additional-provisions-for-servicemembers-veterans-in-senates-bipartisan-national-defense-bill-final-text\/\">included<\/a> in this year\u2019s Senate version of the National Defense Authorization Act.
