The law closes a loophole that has allowed former members of Congress to continue to receive a taxpayer-funded pension during their appeals process after being convicted of certain felonies related to their time in office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNevadans elected me to the Senate to stand up to corruption and protect their taxpayer dollars from abuse,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cThat\u2019s why I worked across the aisle with Senator Scott to close the loophole allowing politicians convicted of corruption to continue collecting taxpayer-funded pensions. I\u2019m proud to see our bill become law, and I\u2019ll keep working across the aisle to clean up Washington.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am incredibly proud to see our No CORRUPTION Act become law. We commend Senators Rosen and Scott for their leadership on this good government bill.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been leading the fight to clean up Washington. Following the Supreme Court decision that Presidents are immune from prosecution for \u201cofficial\u201d actions, Senator Rosen joined her colleagues in introducing a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/08\/06\/after-supreme-court-decision-gives-president-absolute-immunity-rosen-helps-introduce-constitutional-amendment-to-clarify-no-one-is-above-the-law\/\">constitutional amendment<\/a> to make it clear that no one, including the President, is above the law in the United States. She has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/118th-congress\/senate-bill\/359\">cosponsored legislation<\/a> to increase ethics and transparency for Supreme Court justices and their staff.
