Wade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>WASHINGTON, D.C.<\/strong> \u2013 Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) issued the following statement on the 52nd anniversary of the <em>Roe V. Wade<\/em> decision, the third since the Supreme Court overturned it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFifty-two years ago, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that women had the constitutional right to make their own reproductive choices,\u201d <strong>said Senator Rosen<\/strong>. \u201cShamefully, women are now dying in states across this country because Trump-appointed judges overturned Roe and opened the door to extreme abortion bans. I\u2019ll continue to fight against efforts to enact a nationwide abortion ban and stand up for\u00a0 women\u2019s freedom to make decisions about their own bodies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been fighting back against efforts to restrict access to reproductive rights. Last year, she gave a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/06\/24\/video-two-years-since-its-overturning-rosen-calls-for-restoring-roe-v-wade-in-federal-law\/\">speech<\/a> calling for the restoration of <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> into federal law. Senator Rosen voted to protect women\u2019s constitutional right to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/06\/05\/rosen-votes-in-favor-of-protecting-right-to-birth-control-anti-choice-republicans-block-passage\/\">access birth control<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/06\/13\/anti-choice-republicans-block-passage-of-rosen-backed-legislation-to-protect-ivf\/\">helped introduce a bill<\/a> to safeguard the ability to start or grow a family by establishing a legal right to access IVF and other assisted reproductive technology. She also helped introduce the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/04\/26\/rosen-helps-introduce-legislation-to-protect-doctors-providing-reproductive-care-from-prosecution-by-anti-choice-states\/\"><em>Let Doctors Provide Reproductive Health Care Act<\/em><\/a> to protect doctors and other health care professionals from being prosecuted for providing reproductive care to their patients and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/03\/08\/rosen-cortez-masto-introduce-legislation-to-restore-and-protect-americans-right-to-an-abortion-nationwide\/\"><em>Women\u2019s Health Protection Act<\/em><\/a> to protect reproductive freedoms in federal law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">###<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WASHINGTON, D.C. \u2013 Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) issued the following statement on the 52nd anniversary of the Roe V.
