Cuts to Medicaid through drastically changing the program\u2019s financing structure or imposing additional barriers to coverage are dangerous to the millions of people who rely on the program,\u201d <strong>wrote the Senators<\/strong>. \u201cThese proposals will also force states to make difficult decisions that will result in millions getting kicked off their coverage and providers struggling to keep their practices open.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cStates simply cannot absorb these massive funding cuts without hurting children, seniors, people with disabilities, tribal populations, patients with chronic illnesses, and many other Americans who rely on Medicaid,\u201d <strong>they continued.<\/strong> \u201cWhile we disagree on these costly and misguided policies, we are hopeful that there is bipartisan understanding of Medicaid\u2019s importance for millions across the country, that the Medicaid program should be enhanced rather than cut, and that Republican policies should not be paid for at the expense of working-class Americans losing their health care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The full letter can be found <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Medicaid-in-Budget-Reconciliation-Letter.pdf\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been leading the fight to increase access to quality, affordable health care. Last month, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/01\/13\/rosen-helps-introduce-legislation-to-make-enhanced-affordable-care-act-tax-credits-permanent-prevent-higher-health-care-costs-for-families\/\">helped introduce legislation<\/a> that would permanently extend health care premium tax credits and prevent prices from going up for hardworking Nevada families. Rosen also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2022\/08\/07\/rosen-votes-to-pass-inflation-reduction-act\/\">helped pass legislation<\/a> to give Medicare the power to negotiate lower prescription drug prices and cap insulin at $35\/month.
