This legislation follows a move from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to transition to a fully web-based travel reimbursement program for veterans, making it difficult for those without access to high-speed internet or experience with computers to fill out their travel expense forms.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur veterans sacrificed so much for our nation, and it\u2019s our responsibility to make sure they can easily access the benefits they\u2019ve earned,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019m helping to introduce this commonsense, bipartisan bill to increase the methods available to veterans to receive reimbursement forms for travel expenses.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur veterans are American heroes, who have put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms as Americans,\u201d <strong>said Senator Scott.<\/strong> \u201cThey have sacrificed so much on behalf of the country and shouldn\u2019t have to face unnecessary hurdles at the VA, an agency designed to provide the support they earned. This bill provides a simple fix that makes it easier for our veterans to get their reimbursements, by ensuring paper files are available for those with limited access to or experience with computers or online-based systems. I urge my colleagues to support the <em>PAPR Act <\/em>and pass it swiftly into law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been leading efforts to deliver for Nevada\u2019s veterans. Last year, her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/10\/23\/department-of-veterans-affairs-implements-rosens-bipartisan-law-to-strengthen-cybersecurity-of-veterans-personal-information\/\">bipartisan law<\/a> to strengthen the cybersecurity of veterans\u2019 personal information was implemented by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Earlier this year, Senator Rosen helped introduce <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/01\/30\/rosen-helps-introduce-bipartisan-legislation-to-assist-veterans-with-home-ownership-increase-awareness-of-va-resources\/\">bipartisan legislation<\/a> to assist veterans with home ownership and increase awareness of VA Home Loans.
