Trumka Protecting the Right to Organize Act<\/em>, or <em>PRO Act<\/em>, comprehensive labor legislation to protect the rights of workers to stand together and bargain for fair wages, better benefits, and safer workplaces. The <em>PRO Act<\/em> would protect the right to organize and collectively bargain by bolstering remedies and addressing violations of workers\u2019 rights through penalties, strengthening support for workers who suffer retaliation for exercising their rights, and authorizing a private right of action for violation of the rights of workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs a former member of the Culinary Workers Union in Nevada, I know firsthand just how important unions are to empower workers and ensure their rights are protected,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019m helping reintroduce the PRO Act to safeguard Nevada workers\u2019 right to organize. I\u2019ll keep pushing to make sure all Nevadans can bargain for higher wages, better benefits, and safer working conditions without fear of intimidation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a former union member, Senator Rosen has been a strong advocate for Nevada\u2019s workers. Last year, she helped introduce the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/05\/16\/rosen-helps-introduce-bill-to-protect-collective-bargaining-for-law-enforcement-public-employees\/\"><em>Public Service Freedom to Negotiate Act<\/em><\/a> to federally guarantee the right of law enforcement officials and other public employees to organize and collectively bargain. Last Congress, Rosen co-sponsored the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/05\/23\/rosen-helps-introduce-legislation-to-guarantee-paid-sick-leave-for-workers\/\"><em>FAMILY Act<\/em><\/a>, which would provide all workers with twelve weeks of paid parental, medical, and caregiving leave.
