In April, Senator Rosen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/04\/18\/at-reno-small-business-rosen-calls-on-trump-to-reverse-devastating-trump-tariffs\/\">highlighted<\/a> the story of a Reno-based small business being hurt by Trump\u2019s tariffs and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/04\/09\/rosen-leads-colleagues-in-demanding-trump-administration-reverse-course-on-tariffs-provide-relief-for-small-businesses\/\">demanded<\/a> that the Trump Administration reverse course on its reckless trade policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSmall businesses are the backbone of Nevada\u2019s economy, and Donald Trump\u2019s sweeping tariffs are forcing entrepreneurs in our state and across the nation to make difficult decisions,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cThis report makes it clear that President Trump\u2019s trade policies are hurting our small businesses by raising costs and pushing them to lay workers off. I\u2019m going to continue pushing to repeal these misguided tariffs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Read the full report from the Joint Economic Committee <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/jec-report-on-tariffs-small-businesses.pdf\"><strong>aqu\u00ed<\/strong><\/a><strong>.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key points from the report:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>New Committee analysis of data released on May 2 shows that employment at small businesses with fewer than 10 employees declined by 3 percent \u2013 366,400 jobs \u2013 since President Trump took office.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Price hikes: Recent survey data found that <strong>30 percent of small business owners indicated in March that they plan to increase prices<\/strong> \u2013 the highest amount reported over the last year.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The net percentage of <strong>small business owners expecting better business conditions declined for the third consecutive month in March \u2013 from 37 percent to 21 percent<\/strong>.
