I\u2019ll continue working across party lines to support our first responders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has fought to support Nevada\u2019s first responders with the resources they need to do their jobs safely. Last Congress, Senator Rosen introduced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/06\/14\/rosen-fischer-introduce-bipartisan-bill-to-expand-mental-health-support-for-firefighters-law-enforcement-and-other-emergency-response-personnel\/\">bipartisan legislation<\/a> to improve federal mental health support programs for firefighters, law enforcement officers, and other emergency response personnel. Senator Rosen also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/04\/20\/in-senate-rosen-helps-pass-bipartisan-bill-to-provide-fire-departments-with-more-funding\/\">helped pass<\/a> bipartisan legislation providing fire departments with additional funding to hire more firefighters and purchase lifesaving equipment. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/04\/27\/rosen-fights-to-get-law-enforcement-increased-resources-to-hire-and-retain-more-police-officers\/\"><em>Recruit and Retain Act<\/em><\/a>, which Rosen helped introduce, was signed into law last year and provides law enforcement with increased resources to hire and retain more police officers in an effort to tackle the law enforcement shortage in Nevada and nationwide.
