The bill comes in response to increasing attacks on reproductive freedom following the repeal of <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>, including an Alabama Supreme Court ruling that effectively halted IVF services in the state last year. This legislation would ensure that no American is denied the ability to build a family due to extreme and politically motivated laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn the wake of efforts to roll back reproductive rights, no family should have to fear losing access to IVF,\u201d <strong>said Senator Rosen<\/strong>. \u201cThe <em>Protect IVF Act <\/em>ensures that Americans\u2014regardless of where they live\u2014can access the medical care they need to build their families. This bill defends both reproductive freedom and basic human dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has consistently defended reproductive freedom, taking action to protect access to contraception, emergency care, and fertility treatments. This year, she helped introduce the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/02\/10\/rosen-helps-introduce-right-to-contraception-act\/\"><em>Right to Contraception Act<\/em><\/a> to guarantee the right to birth control amid rising attacks on reproductive health. In 2024, following the Supreme Court\u2019s decision to weaken federal emergency care protections, Senator Rosen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/06\/27\/rosen-statement-on-supreme-court-decision-regarding-women-receiving-emergency-reproductive-care\/\">condemned the ruling<\/a> and renewed her call to restore Roe v. Wade.
