The current housing affordability crisis has hit Nevada particularly hard\u2014Las Vegas home prices are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reviewjournal.com\/business\/housing\/home-prices-back-up-to-record-highs-in-las-vegas-valley-report-says-3393943\/?utm_campaign=widget&amp;utm_medium=latest&amp;utm_source=staff_patrick-blennerhassett&amp;utm_term=Home%20prices%20back%20up%20to%20record%20highs%20in%20Las%20Vegas%20Valley%2C%20report%20says\">at an all-time high<\/a>. The <em>First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit Act<\/em> will create a tax credit worth up to 10 percent of a home\u2019s purchase price, up to $15,000, for low- and moderate-income first-time homebuyers. This credit would be available at the point of sale to help individuals and families without sufficient funds for a down payment to afford a home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Trump Administration\u2019s reckless policies are raising housing costs across the board and making it more difficult for hardworking Nevadans to achieve the American Dream,\u201d <strong>said Senator Rosen. \u201c<\/strong>I\u2019m proud to help introduce a bill to help lower costs and make it easier for first-time homebuyers to afford a down payment. I\u2019ll keep fighting to lower housing costs for hardworking families in our state.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been fighting to lower housing costs for Nevadans. She recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/06\/11\/rosen-joins-bipartisan-bill-to-help-lower-housing-costs-incentivize-housing-development-in-nevada\/\">joined a bipartisan bill<\/a> to help lower housing costs and incentivize housing development in Nevada. Senator Rosen has also pushed the Trump Administration to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/03\/03\/rosen-urges-trump-administration-to-take-action-to-prevent-higher-housing-prices-as-a-result-of-tariffs-on-canada-and-mexico\/\">reverse course<\/a> on imposing tariffs on Canada and Mexico to prevent housing prices from rising even further.
