The Summit, hosted this year by U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA), brought together leaders from both California and Nevada, across party lines, to recommit to protecting this national treasure for generations to come.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s always an honor to join Nevada and California leaders from both sides of the aisle every year at the Lake Tahoe Summit,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cThis event is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we put politics aside and work together to protect one of our nation\u2019s most treasured natural wonders. I was proud to help reauthorize millions of dollars in funding to protect Lake Tahoe, and I\u2019ll keep working in a bipartisan way to deliver for this local community.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Jacky Rosen has delivered key bipartisan wins to protect Lake Tahoe. In 2024, Senator Rosen<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/06\/25\/rosen-cortez-masto-announce-24-million-for-road-safety-and-trail-improvements-along-lake-tahoes-eastern-shore\/\"> secured $24 million in federal funding<\/a> to improve road safety and extend the Tahoe East Shore Trail, enhancing access while preserving water quality. She also helped pass the reauthorization of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2024\/09\/25\/rosen-backed-bill-to-reauthorize-the-lake-tahoe-restoration-act-passes-congress-heads-to-presidents-desk\/\"><em>Lake Tahoe Restoration Act<\/em><\/a>, securing $300 million over the next decade for wildfire mitigation, invasive species control, and watershed restoration.
