She also discussed the impact of the upcoming deep cuts to Medicaid, which will leave thousands of Nevadans without health care and reduce funding for&nbsp; Nevada hospitals by more than $500 million. Senator Rosen was joined by Pershing County Commissioners Connie Gottschalk and Chuck Sayles, Lovelock Mayor Rodney Wilcox, Pershing General Hospital CEO Brandon Chadock, and Nevada Rural Hospital Partners President Blayne Osborn.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur hospitals provide critical health care services to families all across our state, particularly in rural communities where health care access can be difficult,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen. <\/strong>\u201cI visited Pershing General Hospital to discuss the local challenges when it comes to access to medical care and the ways I can continue supporting Nevadans\u2019 health care. I\u2019ll keep fighting for hardworking Nevadans and working to protect their ability to see a doctor and get treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was an honor to meet with Senator Rosen at Pershing General Hospital to discuss the needs and concerns we face in Pershing County, specifically in regard to health care and access to emergency services,\u201d <strong>said Pershing County Commissioner Connie Gottschalk.<\/strong> \u201cI am grateful for the opportunity to meet with the Senator and her staff, and look forward to working with them in the future to bring solutions back to our Rural Frontier Communities.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe future of frontier rural health care depends on being both nimble and adaptable, and on finding new ways to deliver quality care despite the unique challenges we face,\u201d <strong>said Brandon Chadock, CEO of Pershing General Hospital. <\/strong>\u201cAt Pershing General Hospital, we are committed to building sustainable models that will serve our community for generations to come, and we value Senator Rosen\u2019s support in that effort.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has worked to ensure that rural Nevadans have access to essential health care services. She <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/04\/14\/rosen-wicker-introduce-bipartisan-legislation-to-address-physician-shortage-in-rural-areas-2\/\">introduced a bipartisan bill<\/a> to help increase the number of specialist doctors and other medical specialists in rural communities. She also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/03\/18\/rosen-introduces-bipartisan-bill-to-bring-more-doctors-to-nevada\/\">introduced a bipartisan bill<\/a> to bring more physicians to underserved areas, including places all over Nevada.
