In February, Senator Rosen helped introduce the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/02\/14\/rosen-helps-introduce-bill-to-protect-sensitive-locations-from-immigration-raids\/\"><em>Protecting Sensitive Locations Act<\/em><\/a> to prohibit immigration enforcement near sensitive locations like schools, hospitals, and churches. This legislation was introduced in response to the Trump Administration <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.gov\/about-ice\/ero\/protected-areas\">rescinding<\/a> previous guidance that prohibited immigration enforcement in sensitive locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur schools should be places where students feel safe to focus on learning, growing, and making friends. Going to school should not be a source of anxiety and fear, making students afraid of being separated from their families,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cAs Nevada families begin yet another school year, I\u2019m renewing my call in the U.S. Senate to pass this commonsense bill that protects students and their families from immigration enforcement near schools and other sensitive locations. Nevada families deserve certainty and security, and that\u2019s why I\u2019ll keep fighting to pass this bill.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has consistently opposed the Trump Administration\u2019s cruel mass deportation enforcement tactics while championing comprehensive immigration reform. Earlier this year, Rosen urged Senate leadership to pursue meaningful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/01\/22\/rosen-joins-colleagues-in-urging-senate-republican-leadership-to-pursue-bipartisan-solutions-on-border-and-immigration\/\">bipartisan immigration reform<\/a> that balances strong border security with protections for Dreamers and law-abiding immigrant families. Senator Rosen has called on the Trump Administration to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/03\/06\/rosen-joins-senate-colleagues-to-demand-trump-administration-ensure-legal-representation-for-vulnerable-children-in-immigration-custody\/\">guarantee legal representation<\/a> for unaccompanied children in immigration custody, defending the basic rights of the most vulnerable.
