Senator Rosen has been consistently pushing for Washington Republicans to work with Democrats to extend these enhanced tax credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf Donald Trump and Washington Republicans continue to hold the federal government hostage and refuse to act, then 267,000 veterans could lose access to affordable health care because of their inaction,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen. <\/strong>\u201cTheir refusal to work across the aisle has put the health and financial well-being of countless families in jeopardy. Washington Republicans must join Democrats in reopening the government and preventing a massive spike in health care costs. I will continue standing with Nevadans in the fight to lower health care costs and end this reckless Republican shutdown.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/affordable-care-act\/aca-marketplace-premium-payments-would-more-than-double-on-average-next-year-if-enhanced-premium-tax-credits-expire\/\">analysis<\/a> released by the non-partisan Kaiser Family Foundation showed that health care premiums for hardworking families would more than double if the Affordable Care Act\u2019s (ACA) enhanced premium tax credits are not extended this year. In Nevada, nearly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/affordable-care-act\/state-indicator\/average-monthly-advance-premium-tax-credit-aptc\/?currentTimeframe=0&amp;sortModel=%7B%22colId%22:%22Location%22,%22sort%22:%22asc%22%7D\">95,000<\/a> people directly benefit from lower health care costs thanks to the enhanced premium tax credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been a steadfast champion for Nevadans\u2019 access to quality, affordable health care. She <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/07\/01\/rosen-statement-on-senate-republicans-passing-extreme-bill-to-strip-health-care-food-assistance-from-nevadans\/\">strongly opposed<\/a> the Republicans\u2019 extreme \u201c<em>One Big Beautiful Bill<\/em>\u201d that severely cut Medicaid for people who needed it most. Earlier this year, Senator Rosen helped introduce the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/01\/13\/rosen-helps-introduce-legislation-to-make-enhanced-affordable-care-act-tax-credits-permanent-prevent-higher-health-care-costs-for-families\/\"> <em>Health Care Affordability Act<\/em><\/a> to make the ACA\u2019s enhanced premium tax credits permanent \u2014 ensuring that Nevada families can continue to afford coverage.
