This funding will strengthen critical structures and ensure the building is better able to withstand future seismic events.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><b><u><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\">BACKGROUND:<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\">&nbsp;This grant will fund<b>&nbsp;<\/b>seismic&nbsp;retrofits within the City Hall building at 1 East 1st Street in Reno, Nevada.&nbsp;The project will retrofit the building with&nbsp;seismic&nbsp;fluid dampers to absorb the shock energy of earthquakes and reduce future damage from&nbsp;seismic&nbsp;events.
