Vaccine Sections Begins at 4:55.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WASHINGTON, DC \u2013 <\/strong>Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen joined MS NOW\u2019s \u201cMorning Joe\u201d to discuss the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/doj-fed-powell-golden-globes-2026_n_6964c61ee4b0b3be67eb8c89\/liveblog_6968010de4b00edae2a33f11\">amendment <\/a>she will introduce to reverse Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.\u2019s childhood vaccine changes. Last week, HHS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhs.gov\/press-room\/fact-sheet-cdc-childhood-immunization-recommendations.html\">announced changes<\/a> to the list of vaccines recommended for children, eliminating from the list vaccines to protect against meningitis, hepatitis, RSV, and other deadly diseases. Senator Rosen\u2019s amendment would stop this change by halting funding to implement it and reducing Secretary Kennedy\u2019s salary to $1 until he reverses this dangerous and reckless action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Senator Rosen excerpt from the interview (at around minute 4:55):&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat we\u2019re trying to do is restrict the funding that will allow him to implement this misguided policy that will hurt our parents and children.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnd I want to add this for people who don\u2019t understand: if it\u2019s not recommended, then perhaps your insurance company doesn\u2019t pay, so you go to the pediatrician and you say \u2018but I want my child to have vaccination X,\u2019 whatever that is. They\u2019ll say well, you can pay out of pocket. Maybe you can afford it, maybe you can\u2019t. You&#8217;ve set up a two-tier system.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNow, if it&#8217;s not recommended ,maybe the drug companies make less, so you create an artificial shortage, again raising the price. So you really create a \u2018have\u2019 and \u2018have not\u2019 for our children.
