Kennedy Jr. conduct a full and thorough analysis of rising-out-of-pocket health care costs for Americans. As a result of Trump\u2019s harmful and dangerous Medicaid cuts in the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act and Washington Republicans\u2019 failure to extend the Affordable Care Act enhanced premium tax credits, millions of Americans have already lost their health care insurance coverage and face higher overall health care costs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Trump Administration and Congressional Republicans\u2019 devastating cuts to health care are negatively affecting patients\u2019 access to quality, affordable care. Many hospitals &#8211; especially in rural areas or locations where underserved patients are treated &#8211; had already been struggling financially prior to the Trump Republican health care cuts,\u201d <strong>wrote Senator Rosen<\/strong>. \u201cThese high premiums may further force patients to forgo their health insurance coverage in the future as they choose between rent, food, and health coverage. For patients in rural areas, the loss of Medicaid and ACA e-PTCs is projected to cause nearly four million people to lose their health insurance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is now more important than ever that Americans have the full data in front of them to make important and consequential decisions regarding their health care,\u201d <strong>Senator Rosen continued. <\/strong>\u201cAmericans are feeling the burden of health care costs, and it is HHS\u2019 responsibility to assess the economic impacts of these new and severe health care cuts and provide their findings to Congress so that we may make the necessary policy and funding decisions to address the Trump-Republican health care crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The full letter can be found <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/JRLEAD_HealthCareAffordabilityLetter_FINAL-4.2.2026.pdf\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has fought to protect Nevadans\u2019 access to health care. Senator Rosen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/07\/18\/rosen-introduces-resolution-opposing-reckless-trump-funding-cuts-to-social-security-medicare-other-critical-programs-and-departments\/\">introduced a resolution<\/a> condemning the Trump Administration\u2019s cuts to Medicaid to fund tax breaks for millionaires. She also led the fight to push Washington Republicans to extend the ACA tax credits, supporting the introduction of a bill <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/08\/04\/rosen-helps-introduce-bill-to-overturn-washington-republicans-medicaid-cuts\/\">to overturn Medicaid cuts<\/a> &#8211; which Republicans refused.
