The funding comes through NeighborWorks America and will be awarded to Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada, a non-profit providing affordable homes and community education programs, and Nevada HAND, a non-profit builder and manager of housing for low-income seniors and working families. Senator Rosen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2023\/05\/12\/rosen-leads-colleagues-in-requesting-full-funding-for-key-housing-programs-to-address-affordable-housing-crisis%EF%BF%BC\/\">annually <\/a>leads her colleagues in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/FY27-NeighborWorks-America-Letter.pdf\">requesting<\/a> robust funding for the NeighborWorks program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m proud to have helped deliver this federal funding to address the housing crisis head-on and make a real impact by helping families in need find a place to live that they can afford,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cAccess to safe and affordable housing is a crucial building block of success, and I\u2019ll keep working across party lines to make sure it\u2019s within reach for every Nevada family.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has prioritized addressing Nevada\u2019s affordable housing crisis and working to bring down costs. Last month, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2026\/03\/27\/rosen-young-introduce-bipartisan-bill-to-boost-housing-supply-and-lower-costs-by-helping-housing-small-businesses\/\">introduced a bipartisan bill<\/a> to help boost the housing supply and lower housing costs by supporting small businesses in the housing industry. Earlier this year, Senator Rosen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2026\/02\/26\/rosen-coons-introduce-bill-to-exclude-homebuilding-materials-from-trumps-tariffs-help-lower-housing-prices\/\">introduced a bill<\/a> to exclude homebuilding materials from Donald Trump\u2019s tariffs and help lower home construction costs.
