This updated water main will help the town reduce water loss, ensure the security of their drinking water system, and comply with code requirements. Specifically, the project for which this funding was secured will replace 3,500 line feet of the transmission main between the primary spring water source and the booster pump station located on Hamilton Street in Carlin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEvery Nevadan deserves to have access to clean water,\u201d<strong> dijo el Senador Rosen. <\/strong>\u201cAt a time when droughts and water shortages are becoming more common, I am proud to have secured funding for this critical project in the City of Carlin and thrilled to see the funds delivered. I will continue to work across party lines in the Senate to ensure that all Nevadans have access to clean water.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn Nevada, we know that water is precious,\u201d<strong> said Senator Cortez Masto.<\/strong> \u201cWhen a city or town\u2019s water infrastructure is out of date or in need of repairs, it can jeopardize access to clean, safe drinking water for an entire community. I applaud the City of Carlin for working to update its water main, and I am proud to have secured federal funding to help the town complete this project.<strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto are champions of Nevada\u2019s rural communities and have consistently worked to update the Silver State\u2019s water infrastructure. They have secured millions in funding for Nevada\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/08\/27\/rosen-cortez-masto-help-secure-over-18-million-in-federal-funding-for-airport-improvements-across-nevada\/\">rural airports<\/a> and for<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cortezmasto.senate.gov\/news\/press-releases\/cortez-masto-rosen-secure-close-to-34-million-to-support-nevadas-rural-communities\/\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2025\/06\/25\/rosen-helps-secure-nearly-34-million-in-federal-funding-to-support-rural-nevada-communities\/\">government services <\/a>like law enforcement and public education in rural counties.
