As we begin to see tourism numbers bounce back to pre-pandemic levels, this legislation will provide the resources needed to rehire large numbers of hotel workers in a safe and timely manner, further supporting Nevada\u2019s tourism economy. We&nbsp;must work to ensure all employees remain protected by increasing&nbsp;testing and&nbsp;maintaining&nbsp;cleaning protocols. <span style=\"color:black\">\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><b><u><span New Roman&quot;,serif\">los<i> Save Hotel Act<\/i> is supported by UNITE HERE and the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\">Specifically the <i>Save Hotel Act<\/i> would:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom:15px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"color:#1a232b\"><span style=\"tab-stops:list .5in\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\">Support hotel workers through direct payroll grants<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type:circle\">\n<li style=\"margin-bottom:15px; margin-left:26px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"tab-stops:list 1.0in\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\"><span style=\"color:#1a232b\">Provides&nbsp;grants to hotel owner-operators for worker payroll and benefit expenses;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom:15px; style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\">Provide tax credits to promote worker safety<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<ul Tax Credit would allow for a payroll tax credit for 50 percent of costs associated with the purchase of personal protective equipment, technology designed to reduce the impact of the pandemic, increased testing for employees, and enhanced cleaning protocols;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom:15px; margin-left:26px\"><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"tab-stops:list 1.0in\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\"><span style=\"color:#1a232b\">Ensures that all safety protocols do not negatively impact the level of work for housekeeping
