I applaud the Bureau of Land Management for advancing these solar energy projects, and I will continue fighting for more projects like these to ensure that all of Nevada\u2019s communities have access to opportunities for clean energy development.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\"><b><u><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><span style=\"color:#0e101a\">BACKGROUND:<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/b><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><span style=\"color:#0e101a\"> &nbsp;Together, these two key developments for the Moapa Band of Paiutes will support over 800 jobs and generate enough electricity to power up to 192,000 homes. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><span style=\"color:black\">The effort also supports Nevada\u2019s goal to achieve 50 percent renewable energy by 2030.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><span style=\"color:black\">The Southern Bighorn Solar Project is located in the southcentral portion of the Reservation in Clark County, Nevada. This project will provide 300 jobs during construction and five permanent jobs when the two facilities included in the project are operational. Once complete, the Southern Bighorn Solar Project will generate enough electricity to power up to 128,000 homes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\"><span style=\"font-size:14.0pt\"><span style=\"color:black\">The Arrow Canyon Solar Project is located in the southeast corner of the Reservation and will generate enough electricity to power up to 64,000 homes. Project construction will provide 500 temporary jobs and then 12 permanent jobs when the facility is operational.
