Lee.<\/strong> \u201cIt has hit our auto industry particularly hard, leading to a shortage of vehicles, which has led to higher costs for Nevadans. Today\u2019s discussion underscored just how important it is that we bring manufacturing back home. That\u2019s why I\u2019m proud to have voted for the CHIPS and Science Act, which will bring chips manufacturing back to the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the global shortage of computer chips and lack of U.S. chip manufacturing, American vehicles \u2014 which rely on computer chips to function \u2014 have been in short supply, causing a decrease in vehicle sales and high costs for consumers.
