In fact, they make up more than 98% of businesses in West Virginia and employ nearly half of our workforce. That\u2019s why Congress needs to continue taking steps to make it easier for small businesses to get operations off the ground and running,\u201d <strong>said Senator Capito. <\/strong>\u201cI\u2019m proud to introduce the One Stop Shop for Small Business Licensing Act, and lend a helping hand to America\u2019s small business owners by requiring an easily accessible web feature to help them navigate complex state and federal operating requirements.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are working to ensure that our state\u2019s small business owners have the tools and resources they need to launch and operate businesses successfully,\u201d <strong>said Michael Brown, Director of the Nevada Governor\u2019s Office of Economic Development.<\/strong> \u201cWe applaud Senator Rosen for introducing this innovative legislation which would create a streamlined process for Nevadans to work through bureaucratic red tape and be able to start a small business more easily.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShopify thanks Senators Rosen and Capito for their leadership in support of small businesses across the US,\u201d <strong>said Erin Pelton, Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs at Shopify. <\/strong>\u201cThis bill will make it easier for new businesses to get up and running, helping entrepreneurs and spurring economic growth.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has actively worked to protect and promote small businesses. Last month, Senator Rosen led a bipartisan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2022\/08\/22\/rosen-wicker-ask-sba-administrator-for-online-hub-for-startups-and-small-businesses-to-access-permitting-and-licensing-information\/\">letter<\/a> to SBA Administrator Guzman encouraging the creation of this centralized website. She also secured over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/rosen-cortez-masto-secure-more-2-million-support-underserved-nevada-small-businesses\/\">$2 million<\/a> through the <em>American Rescue Plan<\/em> to help Nevada\u2019s small businesses overcome the impacts of COVID-19.
