These projects will increase access to water resources for Nevadans as the state continues to face a severe drought. The funding will go to the Moapa Valley Water District, the Southern Nevada Water Authority, the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District, and the Virgin Valley Water District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt a time when we are experiencing one of the worst droughts on record, it is critical that we invest in water conservation and improving infrastructure,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cWith this funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that I helped write and pass, communities across Nevada will more efficiently monitor water levels and take action to improve water efficiency and resiliency.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m glad to see these funds I helped secure as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law come to Nevada to improve efficiency and help us conserve water in communities all over the state,\u201d <strong>said Senator Cortez Masto.<\/strong> \u201cMore investments in water resilience are coming, and I\u2019ll keep working to ensure Nevada gets its fair share.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Below is a full breakdown of Nevada funding:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Moapa Valley Water District in Clark County: $100,000<\/li><li>Southern Nevada Water Authority in Las Vegas: $95,000<\/li><li>Truckee-Carson Irrigation District in Fallon: $100,000<\/li><li>Virgin Valley Water District in Clark County: $100,000<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto have been strong advocates for improving Nevada\u2019s access to clean water. This funding announcement is part of the $8.3 billion they secured in the <em>Bipartisan Infrastructure Law<\/em> allocated for the Bureau of Reclamation to combat drought in the Western U.S. Rosen and Cortez Masto also secured nearly $1 million through the <em>Bipartisan Infrastructure Law<\/em> for the Southern Nevada Water Authority to fund the restoration of the Las Vegas Wash. Senator Cortez Masto also personally negotiated the inclusion of $4 billion to combat drought in the states bordering the Colorado River in the Inflation Reduction Act. Last year, Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto helped pass the bipartisan <em>Water Resources Development Act<\/em>, which improves and invests in key water infrastructure systems in Nevada and throughout the country. Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto were also instrumental in passing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cortezmasto.senate.gov\/news\/press-releases\/cortez-masto-applauds-congressional-passage-of-the-colorado-river-drought-contingency-plan\"><em>Colorado River Drought Contingency Plan Authorization Act<\/em><\/a>.
