During her tenure as Subcommittee Chair, Senator Rosen held 7 hearings on efforts to restore and promote tourism to strengthen jobs and the economy in Nevada and nationwide. These hearings, and the work of the committee, culminated in the Rosen-led <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2022\/12\/20\/rosen-bipartisan-bill-to-strengthen-travel-and-tourism-included-in-government-funding-package\/\"><em>Omnibus Travel and Tourism Act<\/em><\/a>, which was signed into law. This bipartisan legislation will strengthen the U.S. travel and tourism industry by creating the first-ever position of an Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Travel and Tourism tasked with developing and coordinating a national tourism strategy across the federal government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an honor to continue working to strengthen Nevada\u2019s economy as Chair of the Subcommittee on Tourism, Trade, and Export Promotion. I\u2019m proud of all the work this subcommittee accomplished last Congress to strengthen the tourism industry, including by passing my bill into law creating a brand new federal-level position overseeing this critical industry,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen. <\/strong>\u201cIn the next Congress, I look forward to continuing this important work on behalf of Nevada\u2019s tourism economy and workers, and the businesses at the heart of this key industry.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen has been a leader in fighting to strengthen the travel and tourism industry &#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/goed.nv.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/tourism.pdf\">which directly employs nearly 350,000 Nevadans<\/a> &#8212; to its full potential.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator Rosen was also part of a bipartisan group that negotiated the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2021\/11\/15\/senator-jacky-rosen-applauds-infrastructure-investment-and-jobs-act-becoming-law-attends-white-house-bill-signing-for-historic-bipartisan-package\/\">Bipartisan Infrastructure Law<\/a>, where she specifically helped write the section of the bill that included more than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/es\/2021\/12\/16\/rosen-applauds-over-58-million-in-funding-for-nevada-airports-from-bipartisan-infrastructure-law\/\">$58 million in funding for Nevada airports<\/a>.
