Senator Rosen worked closely with officials at Harry Reid International Airport to identify the need for this funding. She then helped create a program to address this need as a member of the bipartisan group that wrote the airport section of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and fought to secure this funding for Harry Reid International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLas Vegas\u2019 Harry Reid International Airport is a gateway to our state, bringing visitors from around the globe and helping make Las Vegas the world-class travel destination that it is,\u201d <strong>dijo el Senador Rosen.<\/strong> \u201cThe travel and tourism industries are key to the success of Nevada\u2019s economy. The improvements made possible through this funding that I secured for Harry Reid International Airport will make long-overdue improvements to modernize the airport, replace aging and outdated infrastructure, and improve traveler experience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs Chair of the Senate Subcommittee on Tourism, Trade, and Export Promotion, Senator Rosen understands how a seamless airport experience ensures visitors return to Las Vegas, and we are grateful for her commitment to securing the funding for this project,\u201d <strong>said Rosemary Vassiliadis, Clark County Director of Aviation.<\/strong> \u201cWe are thankful to all the members of the Nevada Congressional delegation who voted for this historic investment in airport infrastructure and supported this project. By upgrading our baggage handling systems, we will be prepared to more efficiently serve a growing number of passengers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Chair of the Senate\u2019s Tourism, Trade, and Export Promotion subcommittee, Senator Rosen has been a leader in fighting for Nevada\u2019s travel and tourism industry, including the airports. In October, Rosen joined members of the Nevada Congressional Delegation in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosen.senate.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Letter-of-Support-LAS-FAA-Terminal.pdf\">a letter to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg<\/a> in support of Harry Reid International\u2019s funding application for the Terminal Grant Program &#8212; a program Senator Rosen helped create through her work writing the <em>Bipartisan Infrastructure Law<\/em> as a member of its Airports Working Group.
